The Essential Doctrines of the Historic Christian Faith
Among all other equally true and important doctrines contained in the Bible,
we believe and affirm the following as being essential to Biblical Christianity:
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, true and complete in all of its parts, and is the sole authority in all matters of faith and Christian living.
There is only one true and living God who made all things, who exists eternally, and has revealed Himself to man through the Holy Scriptures as existing in a Holy Trinity of Persons, namely, God the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, truly God and truly man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and crucified for the sins of mankind. He truly died, was buried, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is coming again in power and glory.
All human beings are born as sinners and worthy of everlasting condemnation before God and yet may be saved, forgiven, and granted the gift of everlasting life through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone!
The everlasting destiny of the believer in Christ after death is heaven and the everlasting destiny of all unbelievers after death and judgment is hell.
